Account Manager
The opportunity
We’re looking for an Account Manager to join our Managed Listings team, responsible for delivering high-quality Citation Builder campaigns that help businesses strengthen their local search presence.
You’ll play a key role in managing customer relationships, overseeing campaign delivery, and ensuring customers get maximum value from BrightLocal’s products and services.
Working in a fast-paced SaaS environment, you’ll collaborate closely with Customer Success, Sales, Product, and internal delivery teams to deliver campaigns at scale while maintaining a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in Local SEO, SaaS account management, and large-scale campaign delivery.
What you’ll be doing
Customer Campaign Delivery
Manage and deliver Citation Builder campaigns within agreed SLAs (typically 6 weeks)
Take ownership of larger or more complex campaigns, ensuring accuracy and high customer satisfaction
Coordinate with internal delivery teams to ensure smooth and efficient execution
Ensure seamless customer onboarding and handover from Sales
Maintain clear and proactive communication with customers throughout the campaign lifecycle
Account Management & Customer Success
Build and nurture strong relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to customers
Understand customer goals and help them maximise the value of BrightLocal’s products and services
Identify opportunities for account growth, renewals, and upsells
Monitor account health and proactively mitigate churn risks
Technical Expertise
Develop strong knowledge of BrightLocal’s platform, listings management, and local search ecosystem
Support customers with queries related to directory listings, data consistency, and integrations
Help diagnose and resolve more complex issues in collaboration with internal teams
Collaboration & Product Feedback
Work closely with Product and UX teams to provide structured customer feedback
Identify customers suitable for beta testing new features
Share insights that contribute to product improvements and development
Operational Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve processes, delivery quality, and efficiency
Maintain accurate campaign and customer data across tools such as Planhat, Zendesk, and internal systems
Contribute to improving internal documentation and delivery playbooks
What we’re looking for
Essential experience
Demonstrable experience in Account Management, Customer Success, or similar roles
Experience working in a SaaS, digital marketing, or SEO environment
Proven ability to manage complex customer accounts and campaigns
Experience contributing to renewals, upsells, or account growth
Skills
Strong understanding of Local SEO, digital marketing, or listings management
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Technical competencies
Comfortable working across a range of SaaS tools and digital marketing platforms
Ability to quickly learn systems such as Planhat, Zendesk, and CRM platforms
Experience using tools like Excel or Google Sheets for analysis and reporting
Ability to understand customer tech stacks and how they impact campaign performance
Knowledge of directory platforms and local listings ecosystems (desirable)
The Perks (The important details)
Salary: Dependent on experience
Commission: Based on individual performance
Performance-based bonus: Up to 20% of base salary (10% company performance + 10% team performance).
Hybrid Working: 2 days a week in our Brighton office for full-time team members.
Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays + your birthday off!
Duvet days: 3 duvet days per year
