Accounting Assistant
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our Finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with payroll processes, and ensuring smooth day-to-day finance operations.
In this role, you will work closely with the Finance, Compliance & Legal Lead to support bookkeeping, invoicing, payroll administration, and financial documentation. The ideal candidate is organised, reliable, and comfortable working with financial systems and data.

Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Financial Records
Record financial transactions accurately in the accounting system (e.g., Xero or similar software)
Maintain organised records of invoices, receipts, and financial documentation
Assist with bank and account reconciliations
Support preparation of monthly financial data and reports
Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records
Payroll Support
Assist with payroll preparation, including salaries, allowances, and deductions
Maintain payroll records and employee compensation data
Support preparation of statutory contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and withholding taxes)
Ensure payroll information is accurate and submitted on time
Coordinate with HR / People & Culture for payroll-related updates
Invoicing & Payments
Prepare and issue invoices to clients or internal stakeholders
Track incoming payments and assist with accounts receivable monitoring
Support processing of supplier and vendor payments
Maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable records
Petty Cash Management
Manage and reconcile petty cash funds
Record petty cash transactions and maintain supporting receipts
Report discrepancies to the Finance Lead when necessary
Administrative & Compliance Support
Assist in preparing documentation for financial audits or regulatory filings
Maintain financial records and permits in an organised filing system
Provide general administrative support to the Finance team as needed
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
1–3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, payroll administration, or finance operations (preferred)
Technical Skills
Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles
Familiarity with accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar platforms
Strong Microsoft Excel and general office software skills
Understanding of payroll processes and financial record-keeping
Knowledge of Philippine statutory contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) is an advantage
